Cryoprobe® Treatments
Cryoprobe® is an innovative aesthetic procedure offered at The Firm Medspa. It is a minimally-invasive treatment that utilizes intense cold temperatures to freeze and eradicate abnormal tissue including non-cancerous moles, skin tags, and various superficial skin growths. These treatments have grown in popularity as a safe alternative to traditional surgical or more aggressive procedures.
The Cryoprobe® device is a handheld applicator containing a very precise nozzle that applies intense cold, using nitrous oxide, directly to the targeted area in order to freeze it without damaging surrounding healthy tissue. Afterward, the body's natural healing process will take over and dispose of any affected cells or tissues.
One of the primary benefits of the Cryoprobe® is that it requires no preparation or numbing. This makes it an appealing procedure for those who do not want to take on the risks of scarring or downtime. Since there are no incisions or sutures involved, a patient's recovery time and post-procedural discomfort are greatly minimized.
The Cryoprobe® can also treat small and large lesions alike, allowing for greater accuracy than some other methods used in cryosurgical procedures. During treatment, a small portion of the lesion is frozen at a time to ensure that all affected areas receive even cooling. Afterward, the provider will inspect the area and repeat the freezing process if necessary.
