Cellulite Reduction
Shockwave therapy is a minimally invasive procedure that targets tight connective tissue – a contributing element to cellulite. Shock waves lead to micro tears in the connective tissues whilst breaking down the accumulated fat (cellulite). Once this happens, the body instinctively boosts the amount of collagen in the affected area as a way of healing. The apparent outcome is firmer, lifted, and more even skin.
Consequently, shockwave treatment boosts skin elasticity and flexibility to a large extent, delivering visible and lasting improvements with a series of targeted sessions at The Firm Medspa.

Cellulite Reduction FAQ's
A treatment session starts with the client lying down on a comfortable plinth and exposing the skin area under treatment. Anesthesia is unnecessary for this procedure, but you are likely to experience a little discomfort that dissipates during the treatment. In some cases, clients report a slight discomfort following the procedure. However, most patients will have no pain after treatment.
With regular exercise, proper diet and hydration, results can be seen in 10–12 sessions. Candidates will need to come for treatment two sessions per week, for a period of five to eight weeks in total. Depending on the severity of the cellulite, additional treatments may be recommended.
Results from shockwave cellulite treatment typically appear after 8 treatments and will continue to improve with each additional session.
To maintain results, one or two treatments are recommended every six months at most. As long as there are no changes in weight or health, the treated area should remain consistent with biannual maintenance treatments.
